Cooper - case dismissed.

Pattaya Provincial Court this week dismissed a Computer Crimes Act case against expat oil man Alastair Stuart Cooper.

Cooper was jointly indicted with fugitive journalist Andrew Michael Drummond in a case filed by Drew Noyes but Cooper filed an application saying that the documents had not been served according to Thai law, and the Court made an order for a new preliminary hearing to be held.

Cooper claimed he was not resident in Thailand.

At the new hearing, Noyes as Plaintiff did not appear and the Court dismissed the case.

Drummond - on the run.

Drummond has not made any application and the case against him remains valid, and he has an outstanding warrant for his arrest and remains a wanted fugitive after absconding whilst on bail in January of 2015.

Lawyers for Noyes have indicated that Noyes will appeal the decision to the Region 2 Court of Appeal, and may file further charges.
